As founder of Liberate — the meditation app for the Black community — he raised venture funding, scaled to $80K/month in subscriptions, built partnerships with Snapchat and Blavity, and earned coverage in Fortune, The Washington Post, CNN, and Google.

studio. is what came after the healing: a conviction that AI can be used to build lives of freedom — starting with our creativity — and that a social platform should leave you more whole than it found you.

The proof came before the product. J wrote through a stretch he was living — the dreams he still carried, what he still wanted for himself — and let AI turn it into a song instead of another journal entry. Hearing “I'm Home” come back changed something a page of writing alone hadn't. studio is what he built so that could happen for anyone else, too.
